Please include:
Q: How does pose detection work?
A: BeBetter uses on-device AI (MediaPipe) to detect your body landmarks through the camera in real time. Your camera feed is analyzed locally — no video is uploaded or stored. The app tracks joint angles to count reps and give form feedback.
Q: What exercises are supported?
A: Currently supported: Squat, Push-up, Bicep Curl, Lunge, and Glute Bridge. More exercises are being developed.
Q: What camera position is best?
A: Each exercise has a recommended camera angle for optimal detection. For squats, lunges, and bicep curls: place your phone on a stable surface at body height in front or to the side. For push-ups: place the camera on the ground in front of your head. For glute bridges: side view at body height.
Q: Why doesn't the rep counting start?
A: Make sure your full body is visible in the camera frame with good lighting. Hold the starting pose steady for a moment — the app needs to confirm your ready position before counting begins. If you see form feedback in red, adjust your posture to match the guidance.
Q: How do I create a training plan?
A: Go to the Plans tab, tap the + button, and select exercises, sets, and rep targets. Tap days on the calendar to assign workouts. You can also start from one of our pre-built plans on the Home page.
Q: Can I use my Apple Watch?
A: Yes. The BeBetter Apple Watch companion app tracks your heart rate and syncs it to your iPhone during workouts. Make sure both devices have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.
Q: Is my workout data backed up?
A: Your workout data is stored locally. If you have iCloud enabled, your SwiftData records may sync across your devices. We recommend regularly reviewing your training history in the Activity tab.
